Umbrellas in San Diego?
For those that don't know, in San Diego there is no such thing as rain. There is also no such thing as cold, humidity, bugs, anger, snow, ugly people, or bad things. That said, it baffles me that 1.Everyone doesn't live here (actually, we don't want to over populate, so, all the above statements are false and I have since moved to Antarctica where it is nicer than San Diego. Please come live with me) and 2.That anyone owns an umbrella. Since I have lived n San Diego, I have not owned a jacket, an umbrella, or a New Kids On The Block CD. Well, at least the first 2 statements are true. Now, if you haven't lived in Paradise here in Southern California, we mock the world. How so? By using umbrellas on our "bad" days. By "bad days" of course I mean 65 degrees and sunny, which is actually a cold winter day for us in January. Brrrrr! But that's right, on sunny days I see people carrying umbrellas as if they were in the middle of a downpour. Sick joke? I would think so. Here's some pictures I have taken randomly in the past few months of people actually carrying umbrellas. You can clearly see the rain in all of them.
As you can see, umbrellas in Southern California are not just owned for convenience, but as necessities. adslkfjasljfoiwejfsajdflkaj ~John "never been prouder to call myself a San Diegan" Money
